EASYPRINT ribbon

EASYPRINT thermal transfer overprint (TTO) printers is supported by a comprehensive range of ribbons. They are available in a range of grades and colours, as well as a range of widths and lengths.

Our ribbons are formulated to provide excellent print quality for a wide variety of substrattes and printing speeds. End user propoerties include resistance to heat, smudge, scratch, chemical and light to ensure that the codes remain legible (and machine readable) thoughout their lifetime.

Different grades

Ribbons are available in different grades with more or less resin. The Grade describes the properties of the thermal transfer ink layer. All ribbons are constructed from a common, high strength carrier which minimises ribbon breaks and a common low-friction back coating which increases printhead life by minimising printhead wear and static build-up.

All our ribbons include a metallic branded leader tape that is fixed to the take-up spool: this eases and speeds up ribbon changovers.

Our ribbons are suitable for printing onto a wide range of flexible materials including plastics, coated aluminium, carton, paper, labels, and tyvek.

Printhead life

Using unauthorised types of ribbons can have a detrimental mechanical effect on the printhead. The protective ceramic layer wears down faster, which reduces printhead life. EASYPRINT foils are designed to protect the printhead against unnecessary wear, something which no other ribbons can guarantee to do.

Imprint durability

EASYPRINT ribbons have been tested under the most demanding standards for imprint durability. Tests include freezing, steamsterilisation, scratch-resistance and exposure to sunlight (UV). Using non-EASYPRINT ribbons means you have no guarantee that the imprint they make will maintain its quality throughout the supply line – imprint quality quite simply declines over time. The exception to this rule is EASYPRINT colour print.

Antistatic

EASYPRINT ribbon is manufactured with the best possible antistatic properties, which helps to ensure longer life for printheads and thereby saves costs. Printheads are expensive, and using ribbons with no antistatic safeguards can cost you money.

Standards

EASYPRINT ribbon complies with all the main safety standards such as B.G.A - F.D.A - UL/CSA - BSI - Heavy metals EC – 98/638 - AMES. EASYPRINT can also be supplemented by safety sheets if required.

Environment

EASYPRINT ribbon is produced with respect for the environment, and fulfils all general environmental specifications for storage and disposal.
