It has been reported that in some cases when upgrading the printer using the standard method of upgrading the OS the printer will not upgrade.
If the printer is unable to be upgraded using the standard method for the OS then the OS will need to be updated as detailed in the Bulletin.
OS upgrade instructions for Compact series printer to 6.1.7.1 (VF50 SBC
only)
The Bulletin gives information and instructions on the steps to upgrade
the OS on VF50 SBC from 6.1.X.X to 6.1.7.1
If the printer has a PXA300 SBC fitted running a version of OS 5.XX.X.X
no action is needed.
If the printer already has OS 6.1.5.1 installed on the printer this procedure is
not required and the OS can be upgraded in the normal by following the
upgrade instruction as detailed in Bulletin 39E.
